The Star Citizen Competitive Combat Club (https://discord.gg/jVQSWTQ) is hosting a 2v2 AC tournament on March 18th  at 18:00 UTC (2pm EDT, 11am PDT). To sign up, go to the SC4 #teams channel and post your team name, preferred AWS server region, and the RSI handles for both participating players (see example at the top of the channel).

It will be structured as a double-elimination bracket (http://challonge.com/starcitizencompetitivecombatclub_1). Each match will be decided by a best of 7 rounds and will be held in a Free Flight game. For each round, the two teams will square off at 10km, ready up, and then fight until one side is eliminated (see specific rules below). The first team to win 4 rounds wins the match.

The prize pool is starting at $100 (delivered via paypal) and will be split 70/30 between 1st and 2nd place. Both players must be in the SC4 Discord channel, listed above, to participate. We're trying to arrange judges/officials to monitor each match, but we may have to stagger matches to ensure this. Direct any questions to malogos.

- Ship restrictions -- no Connies, Caterpillars, or Starfarers.

- No missiles (they're currently broken. Using a missile will result in that team losing the round, not the whole match (although don't be a dick about it)

Match sequence

Remember that in order to invite players to a private game in 2.6, both the player inviting and the invitee must be on each others' friends lists and the client restarted. Hopefully, judges will handle invites for each match.

  1. Teams will join a private Free Flight game in Dying Star
  2. After making sure everyone connected successfully, teams will group up 10km from each other
  3. In chat, the team that won the previous round will say ready. If it's the first round, this will be the higher-seeded team
  4. The other team will then say ready, and the round will start.
  5. Teams will fight until there is only one team left -- no respawning until this has happened -- this team has won the round
  6. Teams will then all get new ships (ie, eject/sd) and repeat from step 2.
  7. The first team to win 4 rounds wins the match. Report results in the #results channel
  8. If someone disconnects, finish the round in progress and then restart the match afterward

gl and hf!
